Pediatric Feeding Therapy + Infant Swallowing Therapy: Our speech-language pathologists evaluate and treat children with neuromuscular deficits, sensory feeding disorders, feeding disorders due to prematurity or medical co-morbidities leading to feeding disorders and other conditions that affect swallowing. Through a wide range of techniques, therapists help children learn optimal swallowing and feeding skills.
Prematurity, difficulty with delivery, NICU stays, cardiac issues or lung complications are just some of the complications that may impact feeding. We help address problems with breastfeeding, suck-swallow-breathe mechanics, bottle feeding positioning and more. Learn techniques to read the cues your baby is giving you, and positioning or flow changes to create a successful feeding experience for you and your infant. Our feeding therapy is child and family-friendly, keeping your family's goals in mind as well as the health and wellness of your infant's feeding success.
We work closely with you and any other members of your health care team, including pediatricians, lactation specialists, physical or occupational therapists, and nutritionists to ensure you experience the best outcomes. We can help from the moment you arrive at home, until you feel comfortable with the specific feeding plan for you and your infant.
We are proud to announce that we are a Gold Monterey County Family Friendly Employer, certified by Bright Beginnings and the Monterey Peninsula Chamber of Commerce. More information about the certification.
